1MA68: Measurements on 3GPP WCDMA User Equipment According to Standard TS 34.121
- Abstract
- Most of the tests specified in standard TS 34.121 that 3GPP WCDMA user equipment (UE) has to fulfil can be performed solely by the Universal Radio Communication Tester R&S® CMU200. Other tests, however, require additional instruments for generating one or more interfering signals, or for high dynamic spectrum analysis up to 12.75 GHz, i.e. features that a tester optimized for production cannot offer. This application note shows how easy it is to perform these tests using the R&S® CMU200 in combination with R&S® signal generators and R&S® spectrum analyzers. A new version of the software R&S® CMUgo is presented with additional test items and sequences to remote control both R&S® CMU200 and the other instruments.
